Re: Tully Paddle Ups - Second Class Paddlers...

As a parent of a paddle-up paddler I'll be delighted to offer my services as a judge at the Tully Prem (and for that matter the Div 1 the week after) - provided my stint(s) don't conflict with my daughter's runs. I'm quite certain there are other parents 'out there' who would readily help IF ASKED -...

Re: English and Scottish Squad criteria for 2015-2016

Finally, I wouldn't say it is an English Programme, more of an offshoot from British Canoeing. England having its own identity is a long standing concern and issue. I'm sorry to say that from the perspective of other Home Nations it appears very much to be an English programme, with British Canoein...

Re: In the Flow - new book on psychology for slalom

I like the book Jonathan - just what I need as a coach and parent of a psychologically-challenged teenage slalomist! Easy to read yet still academically sound. Thanks :)

Re: Stafford & Stone Mini Slalom Winter Series

We're thinking of getting there early enough tomorrow so we don't have to practice in the dark on Sunday, for a change :P

Thanks for a great event, guys - spirits high and organisation impeccable despite the cold outside. Hot drinks and food inside definitely helped :D

Re: 2/3 Veterans rankings

OK, I understand now, but I'm still not convinced it's entirely fair (though I guess that's only because Pete's leap-frogged me in the ranking and I'm tasting sour grapes perhaps??!!). BTW it's not that I was 'good once' - I'm only just getting 'almost-good now' - still on the way up, I hope... Anyw...

Re: 2/3 Veterans rankings

Re: Open Divisions

At first glance this seems to be a great improvement on the last proposal - retaining much of what's good about the existing system whilst introducing new concepts designed to make things better and easier. Gets my vote! Though I'm sure that greater minds than me will soon be suggesting all sorts of...
