Topic: Lost at Stone 3/4? - Helly & coat

Has anyone picked up by accident at the Stone 3/4 a lilac Helly Hansen thermal and possibly a North Face lightweight green waterproof from the girls changing room? If so I'd be grateful of its return. Could easily be done as its so crowded in the changing rooms on race day.

Thanks

You can do the new star tests in slalom C1s - you just need to be able to demonstrate a range of strokes with single and double blades.

In some ways its easier to do the water-based UKCC L1 course than the bank-based one as you need to find someone that can deliver the bank-based safety module.

It's a pity the Ironbridge race has been cancelled - does anyone know the reason why? If it's because of the roadworks fair enough, but it would be a pity if this site was lost due to organisational difficulties. There is a real shortage of lower division events this year - you shouldn't have to dr...

There is currently a tree mid-way down the course at Stone. The event will still be going ahead. If it is not moved by tommorrow we'll be starting from the middle steps and continuing around the corner. We'll be cutting any dangerous branches off but still be careful whilst practising - remember yo...

Just to let people know that this weeken'd Mini Slalom at Stone is also a ranking Div 4 event. (If you're unranked you can choose whether you want your result to be considered for the Div 4 ranking race) In case anyone is confused, the Mini Slaloms are not in anyway smaller or shorter slalom course...

Team runs are good fun and we never get the opportunity to do enough of them - if they're tacked onto the end of the day they are more-or-less a waste of time as people want to go home. But if they were at the beginning of the day, there would be extra incentive for people to take part, especially ...

The frogman with flippers on waiting to jump in (bottom left) may be the answer that the previous threads on safety/boat rescueing/throwbags/airbags were looking for!

There are some definite mistakes on the ranking lists.

The ones I spotted were: Thomas Woodhead (SSCC)is ranked in both Div 2 and Div 3. Alex Wood (SSCC Div 3) has no points when he has done at least one or two races. And Kate Kent is demoted when she only got promoted to Prem this season.

There has been one person that has died at a slalom event at llandysul a few years back when they were swept past the finish line during a university slalom championships. I don't know the details but air bags would not have saved his life but a throwline may have done. Education on all safety aspe...

A plastic boat full of water without airbags is a nightmare to empty especially if like me you're not particularly strong. Air bags are not just there to make the boat float, it means that there is less space for the water to go when swamped so making it easier to rescue. As for slalom boats.. it's ...

They are not for sale yet and no demo boats.

"At the moment these are just being built for EJ and his kids though we expect them to be available later in the year. They are composite boats, though a plastic one may follow."
