Just to add to Munchkins post. Baldock and District was set up as an Adult only Club by a bunch of like minded friends who wanted to go away paddling. Seeing as the majority of trips usually ended up with an evening in the pub the direction was more adult orientated. Over the years the club has dev...

Great idea. It always looks impressive to see the ENG oval on the front of a competing boat. I remember the days of the ECST and i think that having a unique identity is definitely something to be proud of. At the commonwealth games thinking of the cyclists skinsuits, they incorporate the St George...

Hi Spiderman, hope your car and tent are repairable after the weekend. it certainly was an 'interesting' course laid out on Sunday that certainly wasn't as flowing as the Saturday event. The photos your good lady took certainly did look pretty good and i look forward to getting copies in the post. ...

Hi Spidey, I haven't replied before as it appeared that you wanted replies from Prems first. It's a great idea for the Festival and having attended previously and participated in one of the night paddles it is indeed a very popular event. Hopefully you'll get plenty of replies especially from young...

I agree. If i wanted to get down a river as quickly as possible, i'd take up WWR or sprint racing. For me the attraction of Canoe and KayaK Slalom is the skill to get the boat in place and clean the gate. The first slalom i ever did was a Novice event at Darley Abbey. My first run saw me lying in a...

It is a tricky subject and to a degree the onus must be with the paddler. We had a paddler re-apply for ranking status after not having done a slalom for nearly 15 years (and a Div 4 at that). He had done a lot of paddling all over the world and is a very competent paddler. His times in the Div 2 e...

Hi Kate,
I have a kayak and a few bits of kit for Proteus. I will be at Stone tomorrow (Div 3 Mens Kayak Bib 224).
If it's a problem picking this up, let me know.

Sorry to hear this news.
I've sent a mail round to Baldock & District CC to see what kit we can get for you. we have a couple of pairs of paddles and a few other bits at the very least. I'll drop you a mail off list to see how we can get the kit to you.

Cheers,

Brian
