Re: Interclubs

I've been meaning to respond to this for several months... Firstly, many thanks to Andy for organising the Interclubs competition in recent years. I agree completely with Andy and Steve's comments. From a club development point of view, the competition has been an important - possibly the most impor...

Re: 6.5 UKC19.8 Staying In The Finish Area After Your Run.

Yes, I agree - too vague. I was trying to address the scenario in my earlier post where a paddler can't make the designated area because he's exhausted - but has remained on the water (happened to me at Symonds Yat).

Re: 6.5 UKC19.8 Staying In The Finish Area After Your Run.

In the interest of clarity, could I suggest the following modifications to the proposed wording? Re: 6.5 UKC19.8 Staying In The Finish Area After Your Run.

Re: ACM Motion - Scrap discounts for Multi Class & Double Ev

Sorry, but I too strongly disagree! This would lessen the likelihood of younger paddlers giving C1/C2 a go.

Re: Another possible rule change proposal for ACM - Fees

Experience at my club (Break Out) would suggest that scrapping the multi-class discount would reduce participation in C1 and C2...

Re: Div 4 Entry Fees

Note that on page 62 of last year's yearbook under 'Division 4 Slaloms' point 5 states 'no administration fees. Clubs may set a reduced entry fee'. I had concluded for the Hinckley slalom that we could charge whatever we wanted!

Really looking forward to the weekend. However, we've got a paddler missing from the start list - Sam Pateman Div 3 Man, Break Out - could somebody investigate please? Many thanks.
