Re: 6.1 ACM Voting
So for the wider slalom population, can we have a list of clubs with the amount of votes they each carry who are eligible to vote at the ACM please. Also after the ACM can we also have a list published of who voted for what, and how many votes each club carry next to each vote taken. This makes the ...

Re: 6.1 ACM Voting
It's not about the most effort, it's not a competition to say I have done more than you so I am more powerful. What the voting system does is advantage the clubs that don't have to pay for the water thus giving them an advantage to run more races. Yes they have to put the races on and good on em. I ...

Re: Championship Format in Prem
I think Andy N is right with the format he suggested. Most paddlers struggle to get any sort of water time on LV so it seems crackers to me that when the chance arises to race at LV we limit the number of runs for a great % of paddlers who pay the same race fee as everyone else plus hotels rooms the...

Re: Championship Format in Prem
Are we trying to run races like Europe or not. I thought the reasons for running different event styles was to give paddlers experience of the European format etc. As Steve says this is done in age group not just the top 10 say in Europe. At least everyone will get two runs per day in Wales. I don't...

Re: Is C2 Viable as a ranking class?
Don't forget that there are the World Cup and European Championships as well as the Olympics for C2's to go for along with the junior champs and the British Open. Some of the above have in the past required a ridiculous percentage to be made to qualify but the goals are out there. We need clubs to b...

Re: Time to limit or split Premier Division ?
I agree double events are more cost effective for the paddlers. BUT HPPCC would have to increase race fees as it is cheaper to race a double event. Paddle ups also allows the event raise a small profit. Our Prem last year had more runs than the Div 1. We also didn't turn anyone away from either even...

Re: Superfinal Format at Prem Races
Yep Andy hits it on the head. But that format wasn't voted on so can't be run this year.
I think we have all fallen into the same trap where common sense has clouded our judgment.
Well done to Sam boy done good

Percentages are the key, or the root of all evil depending which side of the fence you sit on.
If you don't make % your not going even if that means empty places.

Re: Superfinal Format at Prem Races
If events want to run a final that's fine but make the race the best of two runs with an extra run for the final. Give points on the two runs and an extra prize for the winner of the final. Let's make booking accommodation and planning easy for all. People might even volunteer for judging or other d...

Re: The future of C2 in 2017
C1 men are as fast if not faster than K1 depending on the course. Mixed pairs are obviously the way forward. It is very ironic how britishcanoeing say European racing is an invaluable experience for paddlers but put restrictions on their development squad. I hope that there are no empty slots for th...

Re: The future of C2 in 2017
Ben and Finn have bean mentioned in the conversation as one of the more serious crews. There will be no Prem/ div 1 races this year where 5 crews turn up so the points will be worked Out against K1 men. This makes Prem races unrealistic for a crew of 15 year olds against full time adult Olympic gold...
