It was great to see everyone enjoying the experience - A great event for youngsters (and oldies) to try out a C1 or C2 if they are ranked in K1 in a higher division. Because it's a weir slalom you can see the youngsters from the other bank easily - Great for viewing too - You can view from every ba...

Thanks Winchester for a good w/e - By Monday the timing teething problems seemed to have been ironed out and even the sun came out. It was certainly a successful w/e for my family - Div 2 here they come! Neil, I know you've explained about the L&SER events before but I didn't quite understand - I s...

Ditto - A good w/e - well organised and lots of judges so judging stints were short.
It was a good turn out - A big thanks to Donna and the Matlock team.

Enlighten me further - Especially since my 2 have entered - What's the alternative to portaloos? A hole in the ground? Just mentioned it to my 14 year old daughter and you should see her face: " What, a hole in the ground!! " These youngsters just haven't lived! Personally I was quite happy using t...

What memories - I'm pretty sure my brother's first boat was a deep purple ox - It was a really buoyant boat and he could only just see over the cockpit at 11 years old. Green Pete - Is the boat you designed on the list? I know it was only shortlived but it still existed. It's been great reading eve...

Looking forward to the first Tully event - Pleased the levels are rising. Never paddled there before but have heard it is a good event. We are combining it with the Aberfeldy Div 4/3 on the Monday as our children are in Div 3 whch means we all get something out of a w/e away in Scotland. Hope the e...

I am thinking of applying for my bib but see that there is no bib number 3 in div 1 w - Does anyone know whether this is an oversight as it could change most of the Div 1 women's bib numbers?

thanks

My children were delighted with the cakes and prizes. It was great that so many of the competitors went away with functional prizes. There was a great atmosphere and it was a great introduction for several of our younger club paddlers. The lunch time break enabled paddlers to get on the water and '...

Thanks for the guidance to the league table Old and Slow. I have emailed Peter but it looks like there is still a bit of updating to do for the Div 1 men and women as the table I saw didn't seem to have the Llandysul results on it and not all the women's points are up - Hopefully you've got those n...

I feel it would be a shame to drop the Div2 at this event as it is a great opportunity for Div 2s to experience some challenging water, especially if they are close to promoion.
