Something's been bugging me since Cameron started rattling his sabre. I've just realised what it is; the name of the operation - Odyssey Dawn. Originally I thought, what the ####'s that about, that it's a bit of a soft name for an attack - not exactly a Desert Storm is it. Anyway, here's a bit of a...

I was considering a paddle from Tripoli to Japan starting over Easter hols. I was intending dropping off a choc bunny in Palestine on Easter Sunday to mark the resurrection. It has to be a chocolate one as the book says:- Leviticus 11:3-6: 'Whatever divides the hoof, and is cloven-footed, chewing t...

And oh yeah for those who froze on the water or bank at the weekend - especially anyone from the vicinity of Derby/Matlock - you know who you are. The weather is beautiful here today, I've been out in a t-shirt since 9 a.m.

Well done to all involved.

To those who trekked from far afield - admirable.

Good cold, English March days with a tantalising amount of sun at times.

Interesting racing too with a few surprises and oh that boat crunch!

Onwards!

At least good to see that your post has generated a useful topic on locks. The locks can be portaged. Someone might cut your locks off anyway. It happened to me - mind you it was a particularly bad hair cut in the mid-seventies so I probably deserved it. However, I know that Lox could be useful. I ...

With kids you could get them to inhale an adequate amount of helium and seal them up with duck tape. Then for comic effect you could remove the tape and record their thoughts on their run before the effect wears off. If they have been misbehaving you could substitute helium with hydrogen and fire f...

I heard talk of there being a problem with a specific well known brand of BA's being outlawed due to weakness at the shoulder i.e giving out if someone was heaved from water.

Is this anything anyone else has heard, is there any grounding to this or is it just a rumour
