Munchkin, just to confirm, is your reply the new proposal, as the current rules say "new C2 pairings containing a Competitor currently, or previously ranked in any category in Division 2 or above, must compete in Division 2/3" i.e. Div 3+Div 3 can be div 4 but P-2+Div 3 must be div 2/3 Nope, trying...

As a supplementary question, what happens to a paddler who is already competing in div 4 C1 (or C2) when they are promoted in K1. Again, I have heard people say that this allows continued eligibility in div 4 until they are promoted in the relevant discipline. I can't see anything which clarifies t...

Whether you like it or not the absolute rule at Lea Valley is that you cannot go in front of the chains without a BA on. The judges at selection/ the test event (who were sitting on chairs away from the waters edge) were subject to those rules. I cannot see why we (or more particularly you) think t...

Faced with someone unconscious in the water, I'd capsize my own boat and get in the water myself if there was no-one on the bank close by. Which goes against the first rule of rescue :( You are the number 1 priority and your saftey is paramount. Although not a subsitute for a Whitewater safety/ lif...

But as a club I would not be happy for one person to be able to do with the club accounts what they please. By having cheques we can require two signatories so all payments have to be authorised. It is telling that the BBC this week reported that there was a complete u-turn on phasing out chequest ...

Whatever system is introduced will need to allow for payment by cash/ cheque should the competitor wish to do so as there are still people out there that (for whatever reason) do not have the facility to pay for goods online. There are also clubs with community accounts that can only pay by cheque ...

How about an electronic tag of some sort ? I've no idea how big/expensive/waterproof/readable they are, but maybe they could be put under a seat or even a patch of carbon fibre. Doesn't deter someone from stealing the kayak in the first place though. I wonder how many paddlers are locking their boa...

Your right if K1m points are wrong then 3 other classes will be wrong; C1m C1w And c2. very annoying! Yes, given the numbers of competitors in C1 and C2 that weekend they may have been affected too. The same happened for the HPP Div 3/4 and there were a number of reasons that happened: 1. Competito...

(why not a double to make it more worthwhile and sort out the issues which clearly this event is intended in part to resolve?); Perhaps you should go back to the numerous posts regarding the cost of the site for your explaination. However, if you have plenty of cash going spare and can pay for the ...
