Thanks Nick. Its a shame no-one sells DVDs of events like these. My broadband is a bit slow making viewing a bit jumpy.

Alan, you're leading the way making it easier for paddlers to enter events. I hope everyone uses your system eventually. A tick box for the 'assumed risk' bit should be just as good as a signature. If anything organisers should be given enough surplus cards to hand out to paddlers for other events....

Sunday's results are also adjusted - my 731 points was increased to 760 as Jim just posted. I looked at the C1 div2 winner on Sat and the points on the summary differ so I guess these have been adjusted as well (I don't pretend to understand how). Wow, it must take ages compiling /checking results....

Smurfy Neil, please tell how you broke your arm in more detail so we can all try not to do the same thing. Glad to hear its healed. Looking at the results from Sat bib 999's results must have been removed with 2nd place getting slightly less points, and the rest of the paddlers getting more. Perhap...

Thanks Jim I can post off my bib with glee. Yep CP looking forward to a few races in div1 without fear of relegation for a few months at least. Look out div1 here comes the 50 blunder wizard, back to help everyone else get more points. Its a nice excuse to revisit Abbey rapids again - such a beauti...

Falling dad update : he's back home doing well, relieved to be free of hospital food. Was one of the top 4 paddlers in the Div 2 K1M race on saturday removed from the finish list as my points changed on the summary list from 840 (5th place) to 875? I only ask because I scored 976 at Nene today and ...

Thanks for the info CP - I was pretty ignorant of what organisers are being charged. I was just posing a question that may not be of much practical importance if these hires costs don't fall. I had no idea Cardiff's hire cost was so high - presumably to cover lost rafting income (almost making Lee ...

Would you be happy to pay two single entry fees to make a double event financially viable when organizers have to pay to hire the course eg.HPP, Cardiff, Lee Valley.
(sorry should be 'double events' rather than 'double div2 events')

Thanks Dee, and to everyone else who has asked about my dad. His second CT scan showed a reduction in the size of the bleed, and he remains talkative and alert.

Thankyou to the organising crew for all their hard work and a fantastic event. It is their hard work that enabled over a hundred paddlers to pass a water assessment on the legacy course. In view of this, all the £5's taken by LV for 'completing documentation' should be given to the organising crew ...

I'm a GP who has worked in A+E, but haven't updated in first aid for some time. Its probably best for someone like me to take a secondary role and 'chip in' with relevant questions/ examinations. Medicolegally it wouldn't be wise for a GP such as myself to take a primary role. Last sunday I was ask...

No-one knows how good a paddler is at rolling better than the paddler themselves. There are so many factors that influence the success of a roll. A rolling history on different types of water + the paddler's/parents judgement is just as important as watching someone do a couple of rolls when they'r...

Just wondered if organisers /officials at events should be told of paddlers/ spectators willing to help injuried/ unwell people at events. Should I write something to this effect on my entry card ? Just a thought.
