I have just finished reading the organisers pack as I am helping for the first time to run an event later in the season. Reading critical comments about organisers makes me feel like giving the pack back, it's no wonder that slalom events are disappearing from the calender, I'm sure a lot of people...

Hi our holidays in the North East are Easter weekend off then 4-21st April inclusive. The proposed dates for senior selection, which I would imagine will be run during the double prem event is 29th March, the weekend after Easter!!

Durham/North East Schools are off from 20th-25th March (Easter) then again between 4th-21st April, it seems that many education authorities are adopting this structure ???

I've had a look and the North East Schools break up 30th March and return 16th April.

Have just returned from the Washburn and must congratulate Dave Atkins, Esther Matthews and the rest of the Yorkshire Slalom Committee for the events success. It ran to time (well sort of!) the course was challenging both days and the good food was a bonus (especially the pasta) Well done to all in...

I totally agree, Why are reduced entry fees for juniors available up to div 2 and no further? It appears that at least 60-70% of those promoted from div 2 to div 1 already this year are juniors, it is difficult enough to fianance the fuel and accomodation costs without almost doubling the entry fee...

Yes,
I too find this quite confusing and have been offered conflicting advice as to what age group my son will be in next year.
He is 13 on the 3rd of January,the previous post seems to indicate that he will be J14 however some have told me J12!!
Arghh help ???

Yes I too agree with the original dates, it appears that if they are moved to the previous weekend my family can't get there either, and rightly or wrongly we too have already booked our hols!!:(
