I agree the Olympics should only have sports where for them it's the pinnacle of their sport. I would love for football, tennis, golf etc to be dropped, they won't as the Olympic movement is about what is commercial viable and what they can sell to the mass public.

But the fact remains, it's not the pinnacle for canoeing unless it's 3 boats in each class. The World Championship is the pinnacle for canoeing until such time, as you compete against the best in the world.
