Sorry if this seems naive, I'll sure be forgiven as a foreigner
I was just looking at the entries for the next HPP premier race and I noticed that there was an 'officials race'. Could you tell me more about this? is this for judges ? is this common for all races
(back in the .... mid 80's I raced a couple of judges races in Bala or Shepperton; is this still the same system?)

I remember the yearbook being on canoeslalom.co.uk a few years ago. Is there any reason it has been removed?

Probably because it was a lot of work for Nick, and no one told him how useful it was.
All spelling errors are intentional and are there to show new and improved ways of spelling old words. Grammatical errors are due to too many English classes/teachers.

Judges are official, it is called an officials race as this covers all people helping to run the race that wuld like t compete for example, timing or club members helping with organisation etc.

Simple. You split your judges into two groups - first run and second run - they then judge each other. Only downside is having to do both runs almost back to back with limited recovery time. The upside though is that it is free to enter the event because you are offering your time for free.

and , last question (hopefully) how long does it take for the judges to get ready to judge after their own race?

It's usually organised so that you have plenty of time between your judges run and your allocated judging slot - this can be done as not all judges paddle and because of the two judging groups.
Otherwise you just have to get changed quickly and go straight to your judging position.

As far as I can remember, you have to put an entry in, stating it is a junior selection entry, and pay the full division 1/premier entry fee.
