Just for info the first "Italian Seats" were moulded back in the late 80`s on Richard Fox`s bum and havn`t changed a lot.He should have copyright or is that just too cheeky!

Not sure understand you saying you have to take the seat out and re-fit it? Just fit it out with one layer of padding, then if you need more add another etc. If you grow take a layer out? not sure why you take the seat out, as you have adjustable footrests.

For me the boat has to be an extension of my body, I need to be as tight as possible in my boat in order to precisely edge and control turns, this wouldn't be possible with a strapped seat as there is just too much 'give'. I replace my padding every few months in order to maintain the tightness of the seat so for me, the italian seat is the only option.
