A PERSONAL VIEW OF THE OUTCOMES
For those who could not make it, my recollections of teh outcomes.

Anne re elected as chair with no opposition
Andy re elected as Treasurer with no opposition
Jim/Jacky re elected as COMMITTEE MEMBERS, with one post unfilled as yet.

6.1 Juniors can now register for selection in C2 and another class - passed.

6.2 Rule 20.7 (pg 80) removed, courses for Prem/1/Chapionships do not havce to be submitted two weeks in advance not that they ever were

6.3 Management of Divisions
Lots of debate about the purpose of the ranking lists, and the motion was amended and split into three:

6.3.1 Promotion and ranking from 2 and 3 to be based on FOUR events or three wins. Targets raised proportionaly (e.g. Div 2 Mens kayak from 2700 to 3600)

6.3.2 Equal best scores no longer mean equal points. Ranking points are by posiiton, with second runs seperating those with identical best runs. Dead Heat (both runs exactly equal) means equal points.

6.3.3 Time all div 2,3,4 events to 0.1 seconds, withdrawn

6.4 Only allow 1 practice run at Div 1 - Motion failed. Practice at div 1 is still at organisers/paddlers/coaches discretion

6.5 Mini Slaloms at div 4 now only require 12 gates.

6.6 C2 points to be calculated against men's kayak after adjustment by 1.12 (prem/1) or 1.2 (2/3 and 4) Makes it very hard to get maximum points at prem/1 and slightly harder at 2/3 and 4

6.7 When a prem has to be cancelled, the slalom committee can change date and/or location. But must consult other organisers if changing date.

6.8 Promotion at British Open has been withdrawn.

Lots of Calendar debate. Hope to have a revision shortly. BUT WILL NOT BE FINAL AS THERE IS STILL SOME NEGOTIATION RE TRYWERYN DATES, and a Marple Slalom.

Enjoy!!
All spelling errors are intentional and are there to show new and improved ways of spelling old words. Grammatical errors are due to too many English classes/teachers.
Old. Fat. Slow. Bad tempered. And those are my good points

Well that should inspire a lot of slalom paddlers to find other avenues of the sport to pursue!!

Along with the proposed changes to the calendar should be a quiet season!!
