From the 20th February the BCU are moving to new premises in Bingham. But they have only given out an 0845 number to phone. This will cost me 3p per minute (min 6p) to phone whereas I can call a standard 01 / 02 number at 5p for any duration! I am also led to believe that 0845 numbers earn them a % for each call. Does anyone have the standard number for them? I for one will not be phoning on 0845 :(

There is a website which specialises in providing alternatives to 0845 numbers. Set up by someone who was sick of this rip off. Don't know what it is though. Sorry. Google should find it I would of thought.

The Web site is http://www.saynoto0870.com/

This gives :
British Canoe Union
0845 3709500 0115 9821100
Switchboard/general enquiries
Fax: (0845 3709501) 0115 9821797

Other direct numbers:
0845 37095**=0115 98242**
All spelling errors are intentional and are there to show new and improved ways of spelling old words. Grammatical errors are due to too many English classes/teachers.

Using the say no site now gives 0115 9822094 as the main switchboard, the others are the same.

Remember though 0845 is a local rate call from anywhere in the country, so unless you are using free minutes (or live in Nottingham) it is probably cheaper to call teh published number :p
