Hi there,

I'm hoping to buy a few slalom boats for my club (based in Ireland).

Ideally I'd like to buy plastic boats seeing as they will mostly be getting used by beginners that haven't used composite boats before.

We have an old plastic fox at the moment, and I'm just wondering if anyone knows where I might get some newer designs but made of plastic.

I know it's a long shot.
Thanks
Simon

Caiman have just brought out a plastic slalom boat.

More details on their web site.

I've no idea how well it works, or how to get hold of them, Caiman have a bit of a reputation for being awkward to buy from!

We are looking at buying composite boats for our club. If, as you say, they are only being used by beginners, they shouldn't do too much damage to them, plus they have the benefit of paddling performance boats that won't hold back their development.
