Howsham Weir Slalom 21/22 July - Postponed
With regret Lower Wharfe Canoe Club and Kingston Kayak Club have taken the decision to cancel Howsham Weir Div 2/3/SC4/Open Slalom for 21/22 July.
Currently the main course is too high to run the chute and the new Mill Race course is backed up and more heavy rain is forecast. Even if the river did drop enough the access/camping field is now completely waterlogged and there is no alternative parking in the area.
We are looking at alternative dates but given the existing calendar and other postponed slaloms rearranging this is looking unlikely. If it is not possible to find an alternative date Sue will shred all cheques received.
