For those of you that don't know the opening ceremony for the U23 and Junior European race takes place at Via Fosse on Castle Warfe, Nottingham at 6:30 for 7pm.

It would be great to see as many people there as possible, indulging in some light refreshments, listening to the opening speaches and cheering the 21 nations on.

Numbers through depend on entries - from ICF rule book:
#Entries Qualify
46 or greater 40
35 - 45 30
25 - 34 20
20 - 24 15
< 20 up to 10

So with the results posted to date the top 20 in each class qualify for the semi-finals. So to date all the GBR U23 and junior paddlers are through to the Semi-finals - Well Done to all!

Finals should consist of the top 10 in each class

Hope that helps

Big Hearty Congratulations to the Ladies U23 team on their silver medal.

Looking overall it looks like we could be in for some Polish domination in future!

Agreed well done to the WOMENS U23 team (can't call them Ladies U23 team not PC). A brilliant performance by three brilliant ladies!

Lets hope for more success tomorrow. Anyone else going to come and shout themselves hoarse? I have been judging for all but second runs today, so am only just starting to loose my voice, lets have a real 'wall of sound' pushing our team down the course.

(OK Seedy, might let you off, a bit of a journey for a day trip, although the Baileys are at HPP working hard)
All spelling errors are intentional and are there to show new and improved ways of spelling old words. Grammatical errors are due to too many English classes/teachers.

A thoroughly enjoyable few days. It was a real carnival atmosphere, with lots to do and all seemed to run smoothly. As one of the non- helpers - thanks to all the helpers and well done Anne and her co- organisers.
Well done team too - all through to the semis, loads in the finals and two medals. Brilliant stuff and we enjoyed cheering you on.
