It's a pity the Ironbridge race has been cancelled - does anyone know the reason why? If it's because of the roadworks fair enough, but it would be a pity if this site was lost due to organisational difficulties.
There is a real shortage of lower division events this year - you shouldn't have to drive 100s of miles to get to your 1st few events. In the last 10 years we've lost approx 50% of entry level slalom sites. Over the next few years I think the slalom committee should really promote to non-slalom clubs how to run an entry level event and make it easy for them to do so - just preaching to exisiting slalom clubs isn't going to make any difference.
