Combined events - Slalom, freestyle, WWR

I/Paddlers from my club would attend more events if combined.

The Washburn combined event was great fun. I personally think the course for div 2/combined event should always finish where it did, to allow free access for playboaters to the small and large weir.

White water racers seem keen to have more combined events and would be willing to supply WWR boats but would need slalom organisers to supply some slalom boats in return.

Of course car park space might become a problem for some events if combined. :pWashburn combined event

Silence was the loud reply... Whitewater racers will be disappointed...

Of course if the peak uk challenge event is anything to go by, sponsorship should be fairly easy to come by...

The Washburn combined event was an opportunity lost for sponsorship from some of the major playboat /equipment manufacturers.

If a slalom boat can be given a handicap in a downriver race against a WWR boat, then a playboat could be given a handicap against a slalom boat in a slalom race... :O
