Stone Mini Slalom dates are
20 Jan 2008
03 Feb 2008
24 Feb 2008

This is a handicapped series of races which is suitable for beginner and champion alike.

For the first race we have asked for a full release and it looks like we are going to get it too. Don't worry. Our beginner groups have been training on theriver like that all week.


Entries will be taken up to 10:30. Event to start 11:00

Entries are £6 with a reduction to £4 for subsequent family members.

Please note that Stafford & Stone have applied for and been granted to run the event on the 24th Feb as a Div 4 SC ranking event. Ref rule on page 49 in the 2007 Slalom Yearbook.

For info and on behalf of event organiser - the course has been set today and the plan is to go ahead with the first event tomorrow. River level is good. Look forward to seeing you all there.

How can you have had all 3 mini's and nobody said how great they were? I attended the first and the third and was very impressed by the whole thing. So thanks to all concerned :)

I posted a vid on YouTube of my run on the first course which was nicely flooded. Nothing too special about my paddling as I am still finding my feet in a 3.5m boat - but I hope to improve as the season goes on :-) Check out the vid here:-
