This weekend - its THIS weekend AGAIN

Post by GreenPeter » Mon Dec 03, 2012 12:25 pm

This weekend sees the return of the famous Peterborough (Orton Mere) Winter slaloms.

A fun event, open to all ages, classes and divisions. Relaxed atmosphere, course up by Saturday PM.
Sunday practice from as soon as you want to get there till we start around noon.

River levels dropping fast (we now have a weir again unlike last weeK).
We will set a course that is enjoyable by all levels of experience.
Normal slalom rules except;
- If you capsize accidentally you can have a free hot drink
- protest forms are availabe on the bottom of the river under gate 12.
- If you are nervous and want travelling safety to come round with you, feel free, we might even be able to supply someone, if you get there and are not sure, just ask.

See you Sunday.

So nervous he is off to London with 'the boss' and staying there Saturday night.

Hope to get back for the event, but for once, not helping to put the course up, or practice (if I knew what that was)

Note to self must get C2 to the club during the week.
All spelling errors are intentional and are there to show new and improved ways of spelling old words. Grammatical errors are due to too many English classes/teachers.

Didn't relise you planning on making down on Sunday CP.

So thats a K1, C1, & a C2 entry then and the same for Munchkin, 1 C2 team as Munkin/CP then CP/Munchkin as the other.
Great thats 6 entries already!

Debate chez Woodgate - do we have a lazy Sunday in London, or rush back from London for the event.....

Guess you all know who will win that one

The C2 is in the club already, the pink bibs are in a holdall (found in the loft of the house we bought in Northhampton) so numbering paddlers will be easy.

Hope the weather improves for this SUNDAY :P .

Never too old to be over excited.

OK the course is up, however it is very likely to change.
The heavy rain from Thursday night & Friday morning hasn't been very kind to us, but the river is dropping now, so we will have to make some adjustments first thing tomorrow morning.

See you tomorrrow
