Unofficial UK Slalom BBS

Thank you to everyone who helped get my kayak of roof of van and carry it, get me in and out of kayak etc for my first event after a year, following a serious leg injury which is still ongoing. Special thanks to Jenny and Phil Gooding, who on my arrival, as a snow blizzard started, plied me with tea, a log fire and the TV in their beautiful B and B at Highfields Farm (a mile or so from the event site) in Hilderstone. They could not have been more hospitable and made what could have been a nightmare weekend in my campervan a bearable experience. Great event, very friendly and supportive organisers and paddlers. It was great to be back competing, even though I am even slower than ever!!!! Thanks to you all Susan Templeton.
