Incident at Shepperton

as everyone at the event is aware, there was an incident involving a young paddler from Frome CC at lunchtime on Sunday. I would just like to reassure everyone that the young lady was released from hospital soon after prize giving and is absolutely fine. I would like to thank everyone at the site yesterday for the way they dealt with the situation, especially Dave Waine, Neal Underwood and the first aider whose name I am afraid I didn't ask, and also the amazing number of people who supported the girls younger sister, both on and off the water.
Any club who had a paddler at the slalom yesterday can be justifiably proud of the way their members behaved, as even very young paddlers reacted calmly and maturely and pulled together to keep the event running smoothly. We are proud to know you all. Thank you. Frome Canoe Club

Glad the young lady is fine, never nice when someone is taken ill.
Hope she enjoyed her slalom up till then.
