Just noticed facebook posting cancelling Washburn release this weekend 24-25 June due to low reservoir levels and operational requirements. Given there is also a fairly dry hot forecast through to the weekend and indications of unsettled weather but no heavy rain currently for Yorkshire - does this place the event on 1-2 July in Jeopardy ??

Hi all
An update - The div 2 on 1/2 July is on.
Thanks to Yorkshire Water allowing this release and Richard Atkinson at BC HQ for his assistance on this.
The div 1 is still 'very unlikely', but it does allow a bit longer for some rain with out which it will not go ahead.
Why the div 2 - if we cancel the div 2 to hopefully enable the Div 1 to run, we may still not be able to run it as the compensation flow running 24/7 between now and then may still put the reservoir at too low a level to run.
So full steam ahead for the Div 2 and continue the rain dance! It has just started raining at Halifax CC!

Rob,
I reckon we could scrape together a Vets C2 team as well from all the old crocks, but not sure whether we could actually fit all the boats on the Washburn at the same time
