Washburn - A59 road closure

If you're planning to approach the Washburn race from the west (from the Skipton/Bolton Bridge side) please be aware that a section of the A59 close to the Washburn access road has been closed due to land works, so a diversion is in place.

Does anyone know how to find out if the release is definitely on?
The (business rate) phone number listed in event info was last updated on 25th September.
@WashburnPaddling on twitter doesn't seem to have been updated since 2016 (also in event info).
And the River Washburn facebook page only lists cruises not slaloms.

yes the release is on.
Not sure why the info line etc haven't been updated - I'm chasing these up
