Hi

Does anyone know where you can get new C1 paddle T-pieces? Ideally wooden.

Thanks

Deborah

What style and size are you looking for?
If you are just looking for a straight grip, try buying some hardwood dowel and drilling it to fit on the end of the shaft.
Ash is a popular choice, but I find sycamore feels much better.

I turn my own with a centre bulge to fit my hands, I usually mount them on a spigot rather than just onto the end of the shaft - the spigot tapers allowing more room to wrap my fingers around.
Thinking about it, the paddle I use for slalom just has a straight dowel on it still!
I get my timber from G&S in Cumbria: http://www.toolsandtimber.co.uk/ - they have dowels to make a straight grip.

I make mine out of Ash hammer handles. They fit the hand perfectly, are very cheap to buy new on the web and are easily turned into T pieces.
