Canoe Slalom Bay of Plenty are a slalom specific club operating out of Tauranga, New Zealand. Which is where the majority of the current NZ team paddlers originate from.
They need a temporary club coach, paid position, approx 30hr per week, for the next 4months. Yes, starting pretty much immediately (a couple of potential applicants fell through).
The club is well run, with enthusiastic kids and a great parent volunteer group. Tauranga is a very nice place to live.
Would be an ideal opportunity for an experienced paddler or coach to have a "working holiday" trip to visit New Zealand. Please see below....

Short Term Contract
Based in Tauranga, New Zealand
Contract position from approx. 12 May 2018 – 7 October 2018
Approximately 30 hours per week over 6 days including Saturday and Sunday
Coaching and Athlete Development
We are a well established Canoe Slalom Club with nearly 70 paddlers in our Slalom coaching programme and more than 160 club members. We are seeking a coach to cover a short term vacancy while our coaches are working with New Zealand athletes on the Canoe Slalom World Cup circuit and the Youth Olympic Games.
The principle objective is to provide technical coaching for Canoe Slalom Bay of Plenty Incorporated for athletes of varying levels as required including representative athletes preparing for Junior and Under 23 worlds and NZ Development Squad athletes
To work closely with CSBOP coaches including the incumbent coach to ensure a smooth transition between coaches
To assist with and co-ordinate the running of club race days, camps and club events
To assist CSBOP committee with projects relating to growing the club as and when required
