bcu membership for judges
bcu membership for judges
Ok, am i right in saying that judges do not need to prove BCU membership for their judges runs, only divisional competitors need to be members?

Re: bcu membership for judges
Since it is always stated that the reason for NGB (BCU/SCA/WCA/CANI) membership is to ensure that everyone on the water has an appropriate level of 3rd party liability insurance. Then anyone that gets on the water at an organised event should have membership.
Indeed if taken to full extent, where a decision by a Judge could lead to distress and harm (psychological) then they should also have insurance as a claim could be lodged for liability.

Ahh, never thought about the insurance side....... better make sure the kids take their cards even if they are only judging, ta

I don't think you really need to take the membership cards: you're still covered by your insurance whether you're carrying a membership card or not!
