The only problem with using cameras from supporters is that not everyone would be getting filmed the whole way down, so again it would not present a level playing field. When and why did everything start getting so competitive? I personally preferred life in Div 2 when there wasn't any of this nonse...

why don't they increase the amount payable to protest to say £10.00. this might help cut out people chancing their arm. this type of thing has gone on for years. All it needs is for a club mate to be judging that particular section of gates and give lesser penalties than they should. Its not fair on...

To me this is still not an ideal situation. If I am travelling 600 odd miles round trip, I would much rather have two ranking events in a weekend as opposed to one day judging and one day competing, or one day practising and one day competing. In this day and age it has to be appealling to people t...

There are very few clubs now really active in slalom in Scotland. Those who are run the slaloms they can I suppose, but are mainly for lower divisions (Fairnilee and Alva). The slaloms run at Grandtully (by Forth CC and CR Cats) are run on Bank Holiday weekends to ensure decent participation from t...

As previously posted, I'm a bit disappointed at the number of double events on the calendar these days. From what I can remember, there used to be so many more in the past. I find it harder to justify travelling 300 odd miles for a few minutes on the water, and wanted to know if I was in a minority...

More of a non-event really. Cairnton near Banchory many moons ago. Constant rain Friday and Saturday. Awoke on Sunday to find the river had risen about 8 ft, washed away all the gates so did one of the best river trips I have ever been on. Also my first ever slalom in Div 2 at Grandtully. Managed to...
