Re: Lower Divisions (3&4) - How Could Things be Improved?
Juniors who are members of an affiliated club are covered by their club affiliation for Div 4 events. However adults who are members of an affiliated club aren't covered at Div 4 and have to pay the £5 event membership that covers entry level events. I've always thought this very odd as our club has...

Re: Slalom Chef of the Year
I think there'l be no shortage of volunteers to judge this (consider this my applications!)
There'd have to be at least a Slalom Masterchef and Slalom Bake Off categories!

Re: Proposed rule change.
The problem is probably one that will increase as the season goes on though - as more people get promoted there are more people able to enter the race. So at the at the moment only 14 have been promoted from Div 2 to Div 1 - that will be a lot more later in the season. And yes there's a risk that th...

Re: Restructuring the divisions
Abbey Rapids - as I understand it the issue is having someone willing to run it. We (Yorkshire Slalom) have considered running events here, but not an easy place to set up and we are already running 4 events a year (Washburn x 3 and Tees Barrage) as well as many of us running our own club's events. ...

Re: Event Safety
Just confirming that the Event Safety Course this Saturday 4-7pm at BC offices, HPP is definitely running. I know it's late notice but it has only just been confirmed as it is for the freestyle committee linked in to their selection event (which was waiting on confirmation of water levels at HPP to ...

Re: Post-dated cheques!
Yes, Dee is correct. The reason for my asking for cheques dated no earlier than 1st June for the Tees race is so that they will be in date as we tend to bank them just before or after the event and don't want the hassle of chasing replacements for those that will be out of date. And yes we were gett...

Re: Event Safety
My understanding from the website is that there is no requirement for the event safety officer to be on site during the event. Their role is to advise on/approve safety plans to ensure these are adequate in considering and controlling the risk for the event. This is also my understanding as someone ...

Tees Prem / 1 - 15/16 Oct
Hi Please note the enhanced entry fee for the event is £25 each day. Please date cheques for no earlier than 1st June so we don't have to chase people if cheques are out of date. Div 1's wishing to paddle up, please note that this does not count as a double event - you need to pay the £25 fee each d...
