Re: Veterans - Alternate points
So going back and checking the results for Langham Farm 18/9/21 all 4 vets were awarded alternative points ranging from 13 to 250. Yet on the rankings list they have all been given 0 alternative points for that race. Obviously a flaw with the data transfer somewhere.

Re: Veterans - Alternate points
Hi Duncan,
I'm not convinced the alternate points are quite working either.
250 at Stone div 3 - alternative is 250
250 at Langham Farm div 3 - alternative is 0
There's another Langham Farm weekend which also gave 0 points on one day.
What's the equation the alternative points are using?

Re: CANCELLED Dart Slalom 21st and 22nd March
In these uncertain times and with such a small entry it has been decided that the Dart slalom will not run this year. We hope you will be able to support us in 2021.

Re: Rescheduled Dart Slalom 21st and 22nd March!
So we've had the go ahead and we've rescheduled to 21st and 22nd March! No late fees to pay and we've also been invited to the paddler party which is happening that weekend in the park.

Re: Dart Slalom
With great regret we are cancelling the event this weekend. Predicted river levels are certainly too high for a race to run on Saturday and there is too much uncertainty on whether we could safely construct a course for Sunday. All paddlers will receive a refund and we will investigate if we can mov...

Re: Dart Slalom
Please be aware with the current weather warnings out for rain in the south west over Friday and early Saturday morning we are watching the levels on the Dart very closely. We should have a much better idea tomorrow morning on whether we are likely to be able to run the event or not. Please check yo...

CANCELLED Dart Slalom 21st and 22nd March
Since the Dart Slalom has moved to the end of February there is no longer an entrance fee to pay to get into the venue. This should make the event much more affordable to families. We are also planning on changing the running order this year so we can easily have a different div 3 start point to the...

Re: 6.1 Veterans Trophies
There was much discussion about who the intended participant of the trophies was for. For example is the Rasdex Trophy for the highest vet regardless of boat or gender or just the top K1M? Nobody actually knew some assumeda K1W or C1M could win others thought not. The Alan Hardwood trophy was given ...

Re: 6.2 Entry Fees
Is there any data on how many events have had to ask for financial assistance from the committee due to not covering costs and the reasons for this e.g lack of numbers or 1 day cancelled? To be honest as an organiser the bigger concern for me is the dropping competitor numbers along with struggles t...

Re: Sunday Dart Slalom
Just to say a big thanks to everyone who helped get the course up today so we could still have one day of racing. Also thanks to everyone who helped the event run by judging. I know some weren't really given much choice but you really did make the event possible. It really was a different river toda...

Sunday Dart Slalom
It has finally stopped raining and the river is now dropping. We will therefore be able to set a div2/3/open course in the morning. Unfortunately we are unable to offer a div 4 course. Official practice is likely to start later than the 9:30am we had advertised as we need to reset all the gates havi...

Re: Vets' Points
I agree with leaving it as it is. I don't mind that I get less points when I race on a div 1 course than a div 2 course. If we start complicating the point allocation where do we stop. We're competing over 4 divisions with a 40 year age range in the K1w I can't see a simple solution to even that out.

Re: ACM Motion 6.5 Extreme Slalom Rules
Thanks. We currently have a page of thoughts covering things like the need to use electronic beams for the timing of the time trials to officials needing to record their judging decisions. What I haven't had chance to do is match them up to what rule would be needed to be modified or indeed written....
