Hi,

I'm looking for a fairly new second hand boat, probably a Nomad Nutron or similar, suitable for a 5'8" 80kg person.

Cheers,

Graham

Thanks, Llangollen's not too far, I'll see if I can get in contact with him.

Hello, I was wondering if there is anyone out there that provides slalom coaching to individuals in a similar way to the recreational whitewater coaching that exists? I'd just be looking for a few hours at Nottingham to get some tips on what I'm doing wrong and find out the kind of stuff I should b...

I have a RH Raab blade. I'm not sure how to tell if it's a Typ Pisvejc or not. It's just got the Raab paddles logo on the front face and a Caiman sticker on the back.

Hi!

Does anyone need a lift to Abbey Rapids on Friday evening from Coventry, or somewhere along the way?

I'm feeling poor and could do with sharing petrol!

I've just broken the face off one of my blades on a K1 paddle, but would still like to use the shaft.

Does anyone have anything suitable? A paddle with a broken shaft with the two blades in tact would do. My budget is tight!

I would like to set up some training gates on the outflow of a weir near Warwick (Rock Mill Weir). Has anyone got any advice from doing similar elsewhere? I guess I'll need to get permission from landowners, set up posts, or find suitable trees to tie lines between before I start thinking about gat...

Hello,

Now Nottingham is shut, I'm stuck for whitewater with gates to train on in the evening after work. There's the Leam in Leamington Spa, but it's flat.

Does anyone know any places near Coventry that might be an alternative?

Hello Mark,

I'm the only one doing slalom at Warwick at the moment, but I'm working on the others. I sold my old boat to one student who's pretty keen to start slalom and I drove a few people down to Harefield to have a go, so hopefully there'll soon be a few more.

Here's an attempt at a fancy version of the one above. Thought logos looked better than text.

I've decided my 4m boat (Double Dutch Midas Touch 2) doesn't turn fast enough and I can't afford a short boat yet, so I want to shorten it. Does anyone have experience of how much is a suitable amount to to take off? At the moment I'm thinking of about 25cm off the back so I don't interfere with th...

I was kindly given a Double Dutch Midas Touch slalom kayak and have competed in a few races with it, with some success. Does anyone have any experience of shortening a composite boat to take advantage of the newer rules? Is it worth doing, or will it spoil a good boat? Does the shorter length make ...
