Re: GB Selection Policy
Depending on the result of the little vote North of Hadrians wall in September, Scotland might cease to be an issue in this respect....

Re: GB Selection Policy
Just a note for information. We would have held a junior selection race in Wales this year as the intent is to spread these around fairly. Unfortunately however Canoe Wales were not able to support such a race this year. We hope this will change next year.

Re: publication of start lists
In the past when running races I have always tried to get a provisional start list up on the web site alongside the race information at two weeks before the race. This does not however stop requests for confirmation of entry. I am happy to eMail confirmation of entry to anyone that wants one and inc...

Re: Tully 8th March
This clearly reflects very badly on the sport and I will raise the issue of behaviour in public at races with the Slalom Committee. This was not the only offending behaviour in the area at the weekend. On the Saturday there was changing in the street right down to underwear which again was not neede...

Re: Premier division schedule 2014
Also I must note that as a committee we have tried to deal with this and have made strenuous efforts to move the British Open into the Summer to break the gap. It is the only race that we run that can be so moved and we have tried but have been unable to achieve this because as previously noted we a...

Re: Expert from the off
Thanks for your thoughts and many many thanks for making the effort to keep slalom active, it is truly appreciated. I understand your concerns about levies but unfortunately there are significant costs in keeping the sport up and running. Some time ago the levies were set at 45% of entry fees. We ha...

Re: Swapping catergories
Neil you are making my brain hurt! Agree same number of runs but because different classes would attract single run levies so no revenue would be different for the organiser. The levy system makes the two singles the logical perhaps and I think it would be inappropriate to require organisers to pay ...

Re: Swapping catergories
I don't think there is consistency. I charged half the difference between the two double fees. I suppose there would be an argument for two single fees as that is what the levies that have to be paid are based on and I have had to pay the extra.
