Don't youworry geebs, buoyancy aids are on the agenda but agin unfortunately due to the small number of people thar appear to be willing to help at events it is almost impossible to police EVERY rule. If paddlers were honest we wouldn't have to wast hours of manpower to check!

Unfortunately there are always people who will cheat in sport, unfortunately due to man power we cannot weigh boats at every race, however cheats never come out on top in the end. the best way to race and train is in a boat of consistent weight. it would be great to know who it was then they could ...

Welcome back to slalom, probably know you as origionally from Harrow area and have been involved in slalom in one way or another for over 30, certainly with my boys for about 17 years! Race at HPP this weekend, could do with some judges there, also Div1/Div 2 next weekend. Hope you enjoy your comeb...

It is correct that the section judge must record the highest penalty given, however it is not always the section judge that gives the highest penalty. the jury in the event of a protest will look at both judges comments and discuss with both judges individually to understand the reasons behind givi...

Before slinging criticism around about an imotive subject such as this it is very important to be sure you have all of the facts and that the facts are also correct. The jury were NOT influenced by any coach they merely did their job and looked firstly at the reasons for the out of time protest and ...

Boats were weighed dry on Saturday, only weighed at end of run on Sunday so we had a good idea of what the minimum the boats should be weighing from Sat weight! There is a need for clarification on airbags but it is very difficult to draw a line, in France I understand all juniors must use air bags ...

As the person resonsible for organising boat weighing and carying it out in Tully, I can assure you the same scales were used at HPP and Tully, and will be used again in Treweryn. When weighing wet a consideration was taken as to how much water was in the boat, vey often they were well over 10k if t...

I endorse those thanks. As an organiser and a timing team official at HPP I know how much effort and costs go into running prem/div 1 events. The majority run on either artificial courses or rivers where it costs to have a water release eg Treweryn and Washburn, these events barely break even so I ...

As an organiser and a committee member but foremost a parent of 2 paddlers I am in quite a good position to comment on fees. Yes they may seem excesive to many BUT without them at this level slalom would just not happen. Unfortunately money does noy grow on trees and slalom has to be funded somehow...

Oh and by the way you definately have no idea regarding the slalom administrator, Jim puts in many many more hours than he is paid for and Catherine's work is voluntary so before you make ridiculous suggestions re entry fees and the administrator I suggest you get your facts right!

At the Llangollen/HPP International we do not charge any international paddler so your race was more expensive than us!!
