I don't want to buy a new ba? i bought one just over a year ago and would like to think it has a few more races left in it. I only really race in it and don't want to have to replace it. if racing at a 2/3, a div 3 paddler would need to pay div 2 fees to be elidgible to paddle up? Or can they pay later? can't people apply to the ranking person (John) and ask to be ranked wherever they wish? So long as they can fight their corner that seems reasonable to me, do we need a rule to state this?

can one training run constitute free practice? What happens if water changes, does everyone have to be given a practice run on the amended course? This could have impact on natural venues if the water rises/falls during first runs...

we have to do them anyway as part of access agreements, so adds little work, i'm happy to provide anyone with copies of ours which are essentially generic with a few tweeks to make them course specific

should this read at div 1 and above? Div 2 is a bit premature, but by the time people get to div 1 they should know better.

that would be brilliant, but instead of at the beginning of their category, what about at the beginning of first runs and the end of second as a group, we can throw rotten veg at them or something... or maybe not... no issues with those who get promoted and not wanting to change the rule completely...

Thought I'd post on here to thank everyone who helped at the weekend, it was all very much appreciated and we couldn't have done it without so much support. there were a few bits of lost property, there was a coat left at Teesside and a small bunch of keys and a camcorder battery from abbey rapids....
