Re: C2 Structure for 2018 Season
Hi Steve Your point 1) Quorate / Non-Quorate. Totally agree. For example, a crew at Bala at the weekend in the middle of the results gained 300 points on Saturday and 16 points on Sunday, with similar times each day. Gaining points purely on comparison with K1M would also alleviate the issue of havi...

Re: Age Group
I use J8 in the results and the prizes but think J6 is just pandering to the parents.

Re: Novice Entry Clerk Requires Expert Advice
... there are rules about correct entries, and we are supposed to reject any that aren't complete ... BCU/SCA/WCA/CANI number is a mandatory requirement - I don't understand it either for competitors with bibs, but it is explicitly mentioned in the rules. Signature is a mandatory requirement becaus...

Re: Novice Entry Clerk Requires Expert Advice
One observation, from an organiser with online entry, do you actually need BC no. Signature, Address etc. for divs 2 and 3. Well those who have a bib.

Re: Lower Divisions (3&4) - How Could Things be Improved?
To reply to Nick’s comment and Dee’s post yesterday morning. If the club is affiliated to BC as a senior club with a registered youth section the secretary is sent a wad of membership cards which can be distributed to the junior div 4 paddlers to present at registration. Or more likely team leader h...

Re: Another possible rule change proposal for ACM - Fees
Sorry, but I don't understand the relevance of a card reader here, can you elaborate on how that is associated with online entries please? The card reader was supposed to show that as a club we tried to keep it simple and not distinguish between card payers (who cost us) and cash/cheque (who don’t)...

Re: Another possible rule change proposal for ACM - Fees
My view is that online transactions is a good thing but that separating out online with your percentage charges and traditional (alternative methods of payment) is complicating matters too much. Move forward a year or two and it would be good to think that all (or most) organisers are using your/an ...

Re: Lower Divisions (3&4) - How Could Things be Improved?
I agree with James that we need to do something to retain new paddlers but in my region I would suggest the main reason is lack of races in sensible travelling distance. I’m not sure getting them into the ranking system at the earliest is the way to go neither. I believe the drop-out rate is due in ...

More races. That’s all.
All this talk of opening dates and entries filling up and portable points largely irrelevant.
From a SW (or South) viewpoint Symonds Yat reintroduction and Dulverton good news. Loss of Loddon bad news.

Hi Phil
I've just been told of the possiblity of me getting a different TUTTI so the pressure's off for this weekend. Thanks for the interest anyway.

Lee Valley 3/4/5 April
Is there anyone attending the event at Lee Valley this weekend who could bring TUTTI further West after the event? Will pay TUTTI travel.

Thanks CP I can follow that. I've only done div 4 before so had no need to bother with MCD.
