Hi katonas, At every event there is a list of first aiders displayed (usually somewhere near control). I am sure any organiser would be thrilled to have names added to the list so it is probably worth asking them on the day if they would like more names. Though obviously organisers would have to be...

Being able to roll on the Legacy Loop is no indication that you can roll on the Olympic Course either. I am sure I would be able to roll on the Legacy Loop even after beeing out of a boat for 5 months and unable to rest my foot on the footrest but my roll failed on the Olympic Course! They have to ...

thanks, Michelle, So Louis cannot roll pastry let alone his Kayak, does that mean he cannot race on saturday in Div 2 ? Nope because to do the event you don't have to have an assessment. It's only those who want to paddle on the course another time that need an assessment. Though we will have to ge...

Andy will be finalising the start list on Sun eve or Mon when we get home. Not sure when Anne will know about the tests as I have not be...

I can confirm that it is a very long walk on crutches, especially when going from control to the start!

However, my understanding is that for the Olympics spectators will not be allowed in the "inner circle" part of the course so it is not applicable then...

All a good idea but the following points: 1. The committee are volunteers with full time jobs (many of them) - is anyone else going to help out and find these sponsors? 2. You cannot advertise at Lea Valley until after the Olympics unless you are an Olympic Sponsor and comply with the hefty rules r...

Given that prem paddlers get to enter ranked races at these expensive venues, should the prem entry fee not be more than that for div 1 paddlers.
I concur!

Firstly the olympic site is being handed back to LOCOG for much of next year so no-one can use it (other than training internationals and selection (which I understand is paid for from the Elite budget not the general slalom budget)), secondly where is the money going to come from to pay for the hi...

Good event guys, well done.

Particularly liked the weather - any chance of ordering more for the winter slaloms?

I would have to see the course with raafts/ other paddlers on to really comment as I have only seen it during competition times where there is one paddler on the course. However, knowing the chaos that can occur at HPP with playboaters/ squirt boaters/ slalom boaters and rafts all on the same bit o...

No problems - I thought I would let you know what was going on. Ummm... the leg... Not sure I should share my thoughts! I think the Olympic course is great and very challenging - just what you would expect from the Olympic venue. I think it is more akin to Alpine water so being in Prem (having padd...
