Ps with regard to your second post perhaps you should contact the committee as you seem to be trying to replicate work they are already doing which may not impress the venue - especially as it was my (a prem paddlers) broken leg that was one of the causes of these assessments in the first place!!!

Not sure where Viking KC comes from? The event is being run by the slalom committee. Mr Munchkin is the contact for entries but Anne is the one liasing with the venue. I don't know how much time you think there will be on the Saturday for assessments (or who will pay the water time) but looking at ...

I think we need to think about why we offer judges run. I think it's a "thank you" for someone who has turned up at an event and offered to help where they would not otherwise be at the event. Ummm... 45 mins away from Lea Valley and 3 spare bedrooms and a sofa bed in the lounge... Wonder how much we could get for that!!!

We didn't apply as we hope to be volunteering (doesn't help that you don't officially get told if you have been selected until October but applications for tickets needed to be in by May, but hey ho!). However, tickets for slalom can be bought on the German company website. They are legitimate but ...
