Whilst I appreciate some of the points raised about the leap between Div1 and Div2 water, if you enter a Div1/2 event you should expect that the course will be set for the higher division. This event was public knowledge that the course on Sunday was going to be a lot harder than the Saturday, but ...

Hmm not too pleased with the attitude of a playboater/coach at HPP tonight who sat in the gate lines most of the night and screwing up peoples runs and when asked why he was sat there with a pupil who was obviously paying for the coaches time, replied "I am coaching so get on with it" the fact that...

At last year's women's C1 courses, I understand paddlers were divided in to groups of different abilities, from the novices who trained on the flat water to the more experienced who went down the whitewater course. By the end of the camps everyone had tried going down at least part of the course an...

I agree with Mark, it is down to the individuals and the clubs to do the basic work at club level before moving onto more advanced programs. I was at a meeting last week up in the North East with the PDO for the area and they are developing women's C1 within the clubs there. As to throwing novice p...

426 reads and 1 comment! Can no one come up with the black and white answer 'what the criteria is for Benefit of Doubt' I am guessing not, which does not surprise me, I could quote the judicial legal version, but I am sure that some one could do it for me? If there is a discrepancy between two judg...

This has been an on-going problem at HPP for years, simple answer try and work together.

However as Tuesday night seems to be a high percentage of slalom coaching perhaps there could be exclusive use for slalom one night a week and a free for all other nights? Just a thought?

I suspect that the timing is all due to school holidays... They could have selection later but that would leave very little in the calendar to be selected for! To be honest I think the camps are great and should not be limited to C1W. I gather the camp earlier in the year at Sowerby went down well ...

And the taster days are after the selections for the GB team in July, good planning! I am all in favour of these training camps, but at the moment these are not being followed up by continuous coaching for the ladies which is a shame. This is a new aspect of the sport so how about some more support...

Well perhaps the course side officials of the event, sector, gate judges and coaches etc could set an example on the no smoking aspect also lighting up could be a distraction at a critical moment of watching a paddler? Mind you so can people trying to hold a conversation and distracting the judge? ...

Hi CP No offence taken. I was not on my own on Saturday as my youngest daughter was helping even though she is recovering from a serious shoulder injury, but no one else volunteered to help! But unfortunately the injury was too painful on Sunday for her to help out so alas a one man band. As an off...

Has anyone ever appealed to the Slalom Committee over a protest decision when Benefit of Doubt was not applied to the paddler?

Can anyone confirm what the criteria is for Benefit of Doubt (apart from what is written in the rules)?

And should it not always favour the paddler or is that a myth?
