Do the points need to be compared to the ranking competition points? At some competitions I have seen the vets all being awarded the same points, but the results quite a difference?? Just a thought???

The Pan Celtic event at Bala Mill was enjoyed thoroughly by the J12, J14 and Vets, everybody was keen to do keen team events, with the youngsters so keen that they organised there own England Junior Teams. Just an idea, if we say the average vet is 30 per cent slower at prem and 25 per cent at div 1; so the results at prem score with will be less 30 per cent, then compare result to the points of prem; and at div1 score less 25 per cent then compare result to the points of div 1; and in div 2, 3 and 4 ...

You could give the trophy to the highest placed vet who has never been ranked in div 1 or prem; gives this group of vets a chance of a trophy, as they are now racing div 1/prem vets at a lot of div 2 events.

I think quite a bit of work has been done to develop training slots for paddlers and that is great if you live in the London area.

We need to develop slalom sites with permanent gates, accessible to all for training: I feel a div 1 on the Olympic site realistically is for squad paddlers only who have trained there? I feel a bit of investment is needed in the grassroots.

When only the top of Div 1 got invited to paddle in the British Open it was the end of the season, and promotion was only at the end of the season, so most of those paddlers were going to paddle in Premier Division the next season; not sure the same principle can be applied to paddle ups?

I think the current system seems to be working, it seems quite competitive. If we add points I think if may deter some paddlers.

There are plenty of races, if you choose not to race without good reason, you should be expected to be demoted.

I think paddlers should be encouraged to have as much water practise as possible; some div 1 are just getting as much out of the venue as possible whether it is race result or experience; why not get extra time on the water when you have travelled to the venue.

My apologies but I am not going to make the race on Sunday as I am not fit to race due to bad cold, and its a long way to come in case I feeling well enough to race.

It is a shame that the BCU cannot take a leading role in the management of these sites; it would be nice to see not only prem but div 1,s and 2,s when money form the sports council was used to build these courses!!!!!!!!!!!
