I'd certainly recommend that all younger paddlers are encouraged to do the Junior Canoe Safety test. My still young, but now very experienced Div1 paddlers, benefitted from both this and the 3* tests which they had to do so as to be able to access Tees, Nene etc as independent youngsters without a ...

Being one of the 'Southerners' (seems odd to be saying that as a Geordie born and bred) who posted earlier .. I would point out that my post only stated fact, it did not ask for the race dates to change on my account.

Another thought .. if heading down the Football path .. how about end of season 'race-offs' .. the number in Prem being dictated both by promotions and relegations. It should be possible for more paddlers to be promoted if the standard at the top of Div1 is higher than at the bottom of Prem with nu...

In most of the South of England the Easter Holidays start on Friday 31st March and Schools go back on Tuesday 18th April .. so the draft calendar as it stands presents us with a problem as we'd obviously like to be in Tully for all the races.

There are a number of younger paddlers who were disappointed not to get to race at Llangollen last year - they really want the chance to experience both events this year. Surely there must be some way to keep these races in Wales and yet still attract foreign paddlers to HPP?

Another option is to run 2 single races in different divisions over the same weekend - that way there is the option to help out judging one day and paddle both days without the expense of a double entry fee - this is my prefered option as a parent of 2 Div 1 paddlers.
