We don't have a reliable Internet connection at the Nene, so Twitter or Facebbook won't work for us. Instead our results system updates files on a web server running on site, and a long-range wireless access point provides an intranet for the event. It is within a minute of the live results.

The Nene slalom on May 30/31 is now full. As I received 4 first class letters yesterday postmarked 4 days before, I will accept any postal entries postmarked before May 14th. I've now tracked down the problem with online entries - IE8 and 9 don't handle button objects the way other browsers do. I can fix that for next year, although hopefully not too many people will still be using WindowsXP or 2003 by then.

I've just tested it, and it seems OK. Can you confirm - you select the race as Div 2 C1 Men, click "continue", and get the error message? If so, I think the problem was temporary, and you should be able to continue. If not, please let me know.
