I can't really see the reasoning at looking cost of water time for polo vs slalom; they are very different sports. OK they both involve water and boats - so does sailing, rowing, wwr, etc. It is just unreasonable to compare: - My understanding of polo is that a pool is used for a match for say a co...

For those of us that live south it's always 100s of miles to an event (except of course for Shepperton). Realistically though if you want to compete in any sport at National level then the chances are you are going to have to travel and the furth up the ladder you go the more travelling there will ...

I've sort of assumed that Dee was fairly obviously me (Dee Lindesay), at least to anyone that knows me, based on my postings. How many "Dees" have a son called Forbes and organise shepperton slaloms?.... talking of which...... Mainly I'm just too lazy to think of a synonym... Don't have a problem w...

This idea of having a couple of special promotion races puzzles me - if I remember correctly we had one of those at the end of each season (highest ranked div 1 paddler obtaining promotion to prem) until last AGM at which point it was decided to end the practice. Sightly different rules I know, but...

Leaving things to discretion may not be ideal, but the current rules refer to straight line distances. The problem is that straight lines drawn on a map can cross mountain ranges and water with ease, not so kayak (or even canadian) ladan cars. Of course we could start using helicopters (tie a boat ...

[It annoys me when i enter races and the organiser puts DV on start list when i have stated senior, this is because of the date of birth on entry cards.] There is a simple way round this - don't put your date of birth on the card. No dob = senior by default Juniors must put their date of birth on t...

But apart from Shepperton and HPP everything is a more than 400 mile round trip for us. And please don't put another event in Scotland 10+ hours of driving each way is a bit much. With regards to making Shepperton a double - the main reason I don't put in for a double div 1/2 is that we get so many...
