Interesting comparison Dave, quite surprised how it made such a difference in position between the 1.20 and 1.25 With nearly 30 paddlers in the div 2/3 rankings now, is it not nearly time that they stood on their own? I have not checked entries at races to see if this is feasible, suspect not as th...

The only thing that throws a spanner in the works if a paddler was going to enter Div1 K1 and C1 Prem they would then be doing 4 races back to back, this is not acceptable! Heck of a long way to travel for most for one days paddling! I can't believe that the thought of the fishermen giving up the l...

As we only have 9 prem events it is good news that the slalom committee are looking for an alternative venue for the tees event which has been cancelled due to untimely course closure for renovation. In view of the fact that it is only six weeks away and we have to have entires in two weeks earlier...

From the front page

Tees Barrage Premier Race 8 and Division 1 Cancelled

The Slalom Committee hope to find a new site for this event, but it will not go ahead at the Tees Whitewater Course

Well that answers that question, next one where and when?

I think Sue is still away on holiday. Good point, so I rang the TWWC today and they told me they were shutting from the 13 September, but they could not say when they are reopening. They did say that there was talk of moving it to Abbey Rapids, but could not confirm, Abbey is great in big water lev...

Succees in German Open. Mallory and Jacquelyn both paddled in the final under floodlight. Jacquelyn got a 3rd place medal. Hopefully this will encourage others to try C1W and the training days. Excellent news well done to them both :D I understand that it was a close race? Well the first of the tra...

Everything is in the hands of the paddler. You know you have entered “insert big water course of your choice” , go and practise there before the event if possible or out of the slalom season over the winter. Start off in a nice stable plastic pig to build confidence perhaps. To build general confid...

I could never understand how a "Land owner" can own the water as well? Surely water is owned by us all as we pay water rates and a proportion of the Environment Agencies costs to keep them running. Does not the water come from the sky? so who owns it on the way down? It is time that the same rights...

Does anyone have a copy of the rules for the championship? As the wording on the information appears to be misleading or the result was worked out incorrectly? "The Yorkshire Water Championship This will be presented to the paddler who earns the most points over the weekend in the divisional events...

Just a heads up, before travelling check the Washburn information line on 0845 8338654 as there is an engineering problem at one of the lower dams.

The event is confirmed at this time, but best to check on Friday.

Cheers
