Is it as simple as letting organizers decide in the same way they did for the old card entry system?

Whatever you do it wont be everyone's cup of tea, but your proposal seems to have logic & i support it

Graveyard is full and has no paddle ups, just a few open entries & a lot more Prem waiting. So your logic is not right. Paddle ups dont get promotion points form Prem so are probably not quite ready for that step - so dont dilute it. When paddlers are good enough they will make it - in ethe same way...

For some reason i didnt get my sons entry into graveyard. its possible that it was due to the entries opening later than others so from my point of view open asap.

But its prem & there are only a few races & he wants to attend all

I agree with Mike. Paddle up is OK but there are too many of them and it devalues Prem. If people want to race at Prems for experience then they can judge, like we used to and there was never a shortage of judges as a result. At the Open this year there were way too many paddle ups. Looking at recent results there are a good few paddlers in C1 with great results finishing on podium but not getting points for promotion. There are no C1M reserves & therefore no C1M for the Euro team - i dont understand why this is the case?

Format is understandable but points allocation is rubbish (in my view).

I agree with a lot of posts - points should be based on best of 2 runs for those that dont get to the final not just 2nd run - then finalists in the order of the final.

Speculation & idle chit chat on an level is unhelpful and quite sad - feels like where this thread is going.............. how about - Keep to the subject or start a new thread if you wan to moan or whinge!
