It takes the men more time to get promoted from 3-1 than it does women. Surely this means that the women must be of a lower standard compared to men when they reach div 1? Nothing to do with the fact that women are worse paddlers, just that they don't have the time to improve their paddling skills ...

If you were looking for a new boat. Cool Blue canoes (Galasport) sell a boat for people up to 30 kg (Dino) or the pilot which is cut for 45kg. I would recommend the Pilot because your daughter can grow into it. But it is how much you are wanting to spend. Correct me if I am wrong anyone but i think...

I found half a nomad paddle at the weekend when i did the run from the slalom course to bottom lake at washburn.

If anyone has got the other half and can properly identify it. I will try and get it to you.

Just PM or email me to claim it.

i agree with some of the races geebs suggests. i think get rid of Llandysul, it is a nice place to race but it is a very easy div 1 because of water, but then there needs to be some easier water div 1's so that newly promoted people dont get chucked straight in at the deep end. Ease them in slowly....

Matlock canoe club has about 8-9 slalom boat for juniors or adults to use. These are available for all club members to try before they go and spend lots of money on a new boat.
