I've just received an e-mail from the race organiser telling me that my entry cards for these events have arrived.
That's just put my mind at rest.
Thank you very much Terry.

Re: Veteran + Junior 16 & Under Championships
Thanks Canadian Paddler for this clarification.
Is there anywhere else this information is or has been displayed as I feel sure that I'm not alone in saying that reading the minutes of the Committee Meetings is not something that I tend to do, even if I should be?
Sorry!

Veteran + Junior 16 & Under Championships
I've just noticed from the main page of Canoe Slalom that these events are to take place at the same time as the Double Div. 1 event to be held at Pinkston on the weekend of 20th & 21st June. Was mention of these events missed of the 2015 managed race calendar / scheule of events currently shown in ...

Symonds Yat Enhanced Entry Fee
Hi all, While I can accept that there may be reasons for pumped course venues such as Cardiff and Lee Valley to charge enhanced entry fees for races which take place at those venues, I am at a loss to know why the additional charge is necessary at natural river sites such as Symonds Yat. I know that...

Re: Tryweryn June 1/2 change of programme
Thanks Colin, That all makes sense but if it is not written down anywhere ....... Are competitors in duel classes where competitions are scheduled to run in this format allowed to enter the lower Div. race on both days? They would only be able to gain 500 points from each day but overall may end up ...

Re: Tryweryn June 1/2 change of programme
Ah thanks Michelle. Happy to accept the decision now if I was planning to do something that was against the rules. Someone else has obviously thought that it would be possible before me and what you say makes sense as we DO usually gain more ranking points when we compete in Div. 1 races rather than...

Re: Tryweryn June 1/2 change of programme
Yes but if you did not Qualify for the Semi-finals / Finals after the first day of Prem racing as a C1 Lady or C2 Crew then you could have taken part in the Div. 1 race scheduled for the Sunday. Hence our double card and double fee paid entry. Perhaps I have not explained where I am coming from clea...

Re: Tryweryn June 1/2 change of programme
OK Richard. Thanks for your continued explanation. I now understand that for the two combined Prem. / Div. 1 classes of C2 and C1 Women that this scheduled Double day event weekend has now (due to circumstances) been changed into a Single day competition event. However if you compete in Div. 1 as a ...

Re: Tryweryn June 1/2 change of programme
Hi Richard.
I suspect that the C2 entry you have already received may be ours!
In which case we have sent two entry cards and payment for a double day Prem. / Div. 1 event.
Are you now saying that we can only paddle on one day?
Cheers,
Jasper

Re: Tryweryn June 1/2 change of programme
Hi Richard. Just a thought. As the C2's are a combined Prem. / Div. 1 standard would it not be possible for them to compete on both days? On the Prem. race day they would compete for a maximum of 1000 points but on the Div. 1 race day a maximum of only 500 points would be available to them. You woul...

Re: New Ranking Database
Hi Duncan.
Liking the new more automated ranking system.
It does not appear to have captured the J18, J16 and J14 C1M entrants from the Tryweryn or Shepperton races. Perhaps you have already noticed this and are working on it but just in case I thought I should mention it.
See you in Tully.
Cheers

Re: Shepperton Mini's
That's a pity. Always interesting to see who paddles in these Winter events. The results from the Orton Mere winter slaloms are posted on-line and I feel sure that the results from the three Stafford & Stone Mini's will be displayed in time as well. Good luck with your event this weekend though.

Shapperton Mini's
Does anyone know if the 1st Shepperton Mini actually took place on 15th December as there have not been any results posted yet? Depending upon the answer to this question, are the 2nd and 3rd Shepperton mini's going to take place as originally planned in January and February?

Re: The Club Experience, and only the Club Experience
I have been involved in Canoe Slalom for only 4 seasons but this has been long enough for it to have taken over my whole life. One of the main problems at the club I am associated with is trying to coordinate all of the paddler groups so as to provide sufficient amounts of access to the short piece ...
