Thanks Terryg, we shouldn't assume that everyone has or wants to use t'interweb. I still like old fashioned paper copies. If everything has to be done online then it should be made clear that organisers will not provide starlists/result sheets. If that is the case then I wouldn't have a problem pri...

Is it just me or does anyone else still send in stamped addressed envelopes to the organiser for startlsts and result sheets? I only mananged 2 races this year due to injury and as normal sent SAE's for both startlists and result sheets to both organisers. I received nothing back!!! Does everybody ...

Guys and Gals, Thanks for the replies and advice. I may have put my initial post across wrongly out of frustration. I have full confidence in both my surgeon and physio and have no intention in rushing back, I think I am just a bit depressed. I know I will have to be patient and your replies have m...

Hi, I am currently recovering from shoulder surgery (sub-acromial decompression carried out 14th Feb) and am desperate for advice on how long it will take to get back on the water. My surgeon was pretty sketchy about recovery and I have also seen the physio who was also very vague. I am currently o...

Some Slaloms north of the border that no longer run, and are sadly missed. Teviot Bridge Div 4 /Novice (river Tweed?) Comrie Div 4/Novice (river Earn) Teith Div 4/Novice (river Teith) Leny Div /4 Novice (river Leny) Netherton Bridge Div 2/3 (I think, both sites) (River Blackwater) Potarch Div 3/4 (...

Is it just me or has anybody else (of a certain age) noticed the distinct lack of etiquette shown at slaloms nowadays. The youngsters these days can't be bothered to wait their turn when sitting in eddies, or don't care if they pull out in front of someone coming down the course. It would never hav...

Myself (Davie) and Federico are the other 2 div 2's who did a fair amount of racing this season. I think I can speak for both of us when I say that we are both happy with the current set up. The reason we both 'converted' to vets was simply to enjoy our racing, both having been ranked in div 1 in p...

Fair point Davie. I know the organisation must be a nightmare, and cannot praise enough how well the event run, maybe I was being a bit over critical, but that was mainly due to the fact that I got 2 clear runs in good times (for me anyway!!!) Thought the event was superb which was only made better...

Raced at tully at the weekend and was wondering what folks thoughts were about the course. Personally I didn't like it, I thought the amount of single poles was over the top and removed a lot of the skill required, I am certainly not a brilliant paddler, and race purely for the enjoyment, but if th...
