Re: Washburn July Div 2 & Pan Celtic

Hi all An update - The div 2 on 1/2 July is on. Thanks to Yorkshire Water allowing this release and Richard Atkinson at BC HQ for his assistance on this. The div 1 is still 'very unlikely', but it does allow a bit longer for some rain with out which it will not go ahead. Why the div 2 - if we cancel...

Re: Tees Barrage Prem /1 -14/15 October

Entries received updated below Yesterday I received an envelope with nothing in it, which looked like the end of the envelope had been split. I'd hate someone to be thinking they have entered when I've not got it. So if you have sent an entry this week (the envelope was postmarked 'North West Midlan...

Re: Tees Barrage Prem /1 -14/15 October

Just to clarify, we are taking entries already for Tees Barrage - I spoke to some one at the weekend who thought that we weren't taking entries until after 1st June. I do want cheques to be dated on/after 1st June so they are still in date when we back them around the time of the event. Also please ...

1985 Washburn Div 2 Video

I was passed this and I've been meaning to share this for a while. While away your lunch break with this programme covering slalom and an early race at the washburn in 1985 - anyone recognise anyone? https://youtu.be/AI-xhY4qigQ Anyone fancy a 3 1/2 minute course at this year's washburn races? (or g...

Re: Tees Barrage Prem /1 -14/15 October

I'll be at Llandysul Div1 and both Grandtully races if any anyone wants to let me have entries for Tees Barrage. (DIv1 K1M bib 17, Silver camper FX62FXP)

Still loads of spaces both days - I'll get a entries received list up after Tully to reassure those early birds that I have their entry.

Washburn Div 1

I've just heard from the person taking entries for last year'sWashburn Div 1 that they have already had entries for this year! Unfortunately they are not taking the entries this year, so if you've sent an entry to Sam you'll need to sort it out / ask him nicely to forward it on. I appreciate that Di...

Re: 6.15 Div 1 Practice

I believe we run races for paddlers, so why are we trying to restrict how much they can paddle when they have gone to the effort and expense to come to events? Those outside slalom often say the limited amount of actual paddling time in the day is a big reason they don't do slalom. If we further res...
